PASADO SIMPLE DEL VERBO TO-BE

DEFINICIÓN

El verbo TO-BE en el pasado simple cambia así:

• Am e Is por WAS
• Are por WERE

La forma negativa e Interrogativa copian las mismas reglas del presente simple.

FORMA AFIRMATIVA

ESTRUCTURA:

SUJETO+VERBO TO-BE EN PASADO(WAS o WERE)+COMPLEMENTO

FORMA INTERROGATIVA

ESTRUCTURA:

VERBO TO-BE EN PASADO(WAS o WERE)+SUJETO+COMPLEMENTO+?

ASÍ: 

EJEMPLOS:

1. Was I a engineer?..............¿Era yo un ingeniero?
2. Was he in the school?........¿Estaba el en la escuela?
3. Were they in the party?......¿Estaban ellos en la fiesta?

FORMA NEGATIVA

ESTRUCTURA:

SUJETO+VERBO TO-BE EN PASADO(WAS o WERE)+NOT+COMPLEMENTO

ASÍ:
