PASADO SIMPLE (FORMA GENERAL)

En su forma general el  pasado simple se expresa de la siguiente manera:

FORMA AFIRMATIVA

ESTRUCTURA:

SUJETO + VERBO PRINCIPAL EN PASADO + COMPLEMENTO

EJEMPLOS:

1. I bought a calculator                                                                               Yo compré una calculadora.
2. He found a treasure                                                                                El encontró un tesoro.
3. You played in the field                                                                    Ustedes jugaron en la cancha. 

FORMA INTERROGATIVA

ESTRUCTURA:

En la forma interrogativa se emplea el auxiliar did, y el verbo principal cambia a su forma presente o infinitivo, así:

DID + SUJETO + VERBO PRINCIPAL EN INFINITIVO + COMPLEMENTO

EJEMPLOS:

1. Did I play the guitar?                                                                          ¿Tocó él la guitarra?
2. Did She came here?                                                                          ¿Vino ella aquí?
3. Did they drew in the class?                                                                ¿Dibujaron ellos en la clase?

FORMA NEGATIVA

ESTRUCTURA:

En la forma negativa se emplea el auxiliar did acompañado del not, que se puede contraer como didn't  y el verbo principal cambia a su forma presente o infinitivo, así:

SUJETO + VERBO PRINCIPAL EN PASADO + DIDN'T + COMPLEMENTO

EJEMPLOS:

1. I didn't arrive be late                                                                              Yo no llegué tarde.
2. He didn't drive the truck                                                                         El no manejó el camión.
3. We didn't watch TV yesterday                                                              Nosotros no miramos televisión ayer.
